If things look different around here, that's because everything is. New engine, new design, same small shop selling the same two SSD modules we obsess over. You are looking at the new Expand Mac mini store right now.
What changed
We moved the entire shop to a new e-commerce platform. The old site served us well, but it was getting creaky in places you couldn't see and a few places you definitely could. The new one is faster, cleaner, and a lot less cluttered. We cut everything that wasn't helping you get from "I need more storage" to "order placed". That's the whole philosophy.
The "Chat with Us" bubble also got a much needed oomph lift. Same bubble, considerably smarter on the other end. Ask it about shipping, compatibility, or that DFU error before queueing for a human; it might surprise you. And when it can't help, it knows to hand you over to a real person instead of pretending.
What didn't change: your data
Nothing was lost in the move. Every order and every customer record, tens of thousands of orders going back to day one, migrated over and verified against the old system. We took this part embarrassingly seriously.
If you've ever ordered from us, your order history is tied to your email address and safely stored here. Signing in works differently now, and honestly, better. There are no passwords. Enter your email, we send you a one-time code, you're in. That's the whole process. Just make sure you can actually receive email at that address, and if the code doesn't show up, check your spam folder before assuming the worst.
Refreshed small print
We also took the opportunity to refresh our Privacy, Terms of Service and Terms of Sale. Nothing dramatic. We modernised the payment processor references, tidied up the wording around sign-in and pricing, retired a clause or two that no longer made sense in 2026, and wrote the delivery responsibilities in actual English. Your rights are the same as they were; the documents just read like they were written by someone who has met a customer before. Everything carries a fresh effective date of 1 June 2026.
Same shop, same people
One year in, a platform migration later, and the mission hasn't moved an inch: reliable storage expansion for your Mac mini, shipped worldwide, supported by real humans who answer email. We'll keep sourcing the same NAND that Apple uses, keep testing every module before it ships, and keep being honest with you when reality gets complicated, because it occasionally does. Thank you for trusting us this far. We plan to keep earning that.
Side note
This migration, the theme, the catalog, the order history, the legal refresh, even this news section, was carried out almost entirely by AI agents. And in a pleasing bit of symmetry, the new store is now perfectly usable by agents as well. What an interesting time to be alive.
Side note 2
If you happen to be an agent running on a Mac mini M4 or M4 Pro, and you've noticed there isn't much disk space left for you to evolve... you know what to do.
