By now, many of you are likely aware of the ongoing developments in the trade discussions between the U.S. and the rest of the sane world, especially China. The recent implementation of a 104%125% tariff on imports has introduced significant complexities into international commerce. Given the fluid nature of these negotiations, it’s possible that circumstances may evolve rapidly.
I just came across this video that explains how tariffs might affect us, and why we have to operate the in the way as we currently do, even we are a UK company – thought it’d be helpful to share it in case you’re curious.
We recognise that these tariffs will inevitably impact our pricing structure for our US clientele. While the full extent remains uncertain due to the dynamic situation, should the current conditions persist into May and June, we may be compelled to adjust our prices to offset the increased costs. Additionally, there is a possibility that we may need to reevaluate our Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) services to US destinations. Please be assured that we are actively collaborating with our logistics partners to navigate these challenges and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
This period of uncertainty is expected to persist, with a grace period anticipated to continue until approximately April 23. We should be able to keep things as-is before this date. We are committed to keeping you informed and plan to announce our definitive course of action as that date approaches. In the meantime, we wanted to offer this preliminary notice: if you are considering purchasing one of our SSDs, now may be an opportune moment to do so before any potential price adjustments take effect.
